FÓKUSZBAN A FELKÉSZÜLÉS: ÚJPEST–REAC 1–1. Tóth Péter kivédte a lila-fehérek szemét

Miközben a lila és sárga dresszbe öltözött fiúk egymást gyürköszélték, gyömöszölték, addig a pálya sátor felöli sarkánál két edző beszélgetett. Kozma István, a Vasas immár csak volt pályaedzője, az Újpest és az angol Liverpool korábbi kitűnősége, illetve Sólyom Ferenc, az NB III, Duna-csoport őszi kilencedikjének trénere, Sólyom Ferenc váltott egymással szót, miközben persze a meccsre is figyeltek, akárcsak Kovács Zoltán újpesti sportigazgató, aki Egervári Sándorral, az U20-as válogatott szövetségi kapitányával nézte végig a találkozót.

És hogy mi zajlott a pályán? Az első félidőt követően – amikor a küzdelmes játékrészben jobbára az Újpest akarata érvényesült, valamirevaló helyzet nélkül – még inkább kidomborodott az osztálykülönbség, hiszen a lila-fehérek előtt számtalan lehetőség adódott, ám vagy nem volt jó az irányzék, vagy a tartalékkapus, az évek óta a REAC-ot erősítő Tóth Péter védett szenzációsan.

Ettől függetlenül egy óra játék után a „hazaiak” próbajátékosa, Salvatore Casapulla góllal mutatkozott be, a tizenhatoson belülről leadott bombáját Tóth kapus nem védhette. (Itt jegyezzük meg, hogy az első félidőben a Győri ETO volt cerberusa, Somogyi Csaba védte a rákospalotaiak hálóját.)

Ezt követően is támadásban maradt az Újpest, ám ahogy az lenni szokott, egy perccel a vége előtt a sors, avagy a futball büntetett: a korábbi válogatott támadó, Torma Gábor a bal alsó sarokba vágta a labdát.

Összességében a „vendégek” nem teljesítettek rosszul, bár az is igaz, ha nem Tóth Péter védi a fordulást követően a sárgák kapuját, többgólos vereségbe szalad bele a REAC, no és az sem mellékes, hogy több próbajátékos is megmutathatta tudását, így Gáspár Balázs és Gáspár Zoltán. Velük kapcsolatban érdekesség, hogy az ősszel még a Fáy utcában futballoztak – illetve éppen, hogy nem… –, így bár az ikertestvérek visszatértek a Mészöly Kálmán műfüves pályára, minden bizonnyal csupán erre az egy meccs erejéig…
